SWA Charity Dinner & Miss Singapore International Beauty Pageant 2011

Singapore Women Association’s (SWA) Charity Dinner 2011 was held on 2 July at the Raffles Town Club. Gracing the event as the Guest of Honor was Mrs Goh Chok Tong. The highlight of the event was the Miss Singapore International beauty pageant, which has been a long tradition of SWA since 1975. 

Themed “Beauty With A Purpose”, the pageant aimed to build confidence and groom young women to be more civic conscious through instilling in them a sense of social responsibility and to encourage them to contribute more time and services to the less fortunate.

SWA’s President, Ms Mei Woo says, “We are developing a new paradigm of leadership, moving beyond competition in to collaboration with individuals, corporations, governments and sponsors to support each other in our fund raising efforts.”

Ms Stella Kae, Miss Singapore International 2011, represented Singapore in the Miss International Finals in Chengdu, China.
