FUND-RAISING

SWA had since its inception in 1954 been involved in raising much needed funds for the disabled, destitute, senior citizens, the sick and the less fortunate people of Singapore.

Our Association has been organising the Miss Singapore International Beauty Pageant since 1975 and this year is the 35th run. This is one of our annual events to raise funds in aid of deserving charities or welfare organisations. Some of the funds will also go towards assisting the community projects of SWA.

Several organizations had benefited from the funds raised by SWA, in particular the National Safety Council, Children’s Charities, the Eye Foundation, the Traffic police and the Crime Prevention Department.

This year, our beneficiaries include Moral Home / Hostel for the Disabled, The Lions Home For The Elders and SWA's Community Services arm.
