President's Message....

SWA is now in its prime...55 years old!  She has been through lots of rolling good times and indeed, many many more to come!  

Volunteering keeps us young, exciting and fun too!  It simply makes you laugh gladly when you see someone happy.

We have achieved much. Thanks to our founder president, the late Mrs Seow Peck Leng who had left us a legacy to help the needy and underprivileged. She had opened our hearts and mind to contribute to society and enrich our lives at the same time. We are certainly proud of Mrs Seow for her foresight to launch our Singapore VisionCare Programme 17 years ago that has helped many older folks live a better quality of life.

Next, our 34th SWA Charity Dinner with the highlight of Miss Singapore International is on 15 August 2009. It's a very interesting event which SWA was nominated for the innovative fund raising award as it celebrates the spirit of beauty and of giving. The girls with their gift of beauty are our partners in this fund raising event.
